Gospel Music Buzz was apart of the press team for the 35th Annual Stellar Awards, Interviewing Kirk Franklin, Jonathan McReynolds, Travis Green & Michael Johnson. It was an astounding experience and a privilege to be apart of a great event.
The 35th Anniversary Stellar Gospel Music Awards aired on BET Networks as a two-hour virtual special on Sunday, August 23 at 6 p.m. ET and in broadcast syndication later this fall.
Due to the COVID-19 global health crisis, The Stellars is being produced as a virtual special that will celebrate 35 years of excellence in the genre. Special elements in the show will honor the contributions of first responder heroes.
Performances on the night included Anthony Brown, James Fortune, J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise, Jonathan McReynolds, Koryn Hawthorne, Travis Greene, Kierra Sheard, Marvin Sapp, Tye Tribbett, Tauren Wells, Zarcardi Cortez, Pastor Mike Jr, DOE, and more.
Several emerging artists also made their Stellar Awards debut including Group Fire, Keyla Richardson, Melvin Crispell III, and Titus Showers.
