NEW YORK, NY (DECEMBER 18, 2024) – On Saturday, December 14, Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage was transformed into a radiant celebration of music and unity as the 5th“Night of Inspiration” brought audiences to their feet in a night of soul-stirring performances. Under the visionary leadership of Ray Chew, celebrated music director, producer, and composer, and co-produced with his wife and business partner Vivian Scott Chew, the evening marked yet another sold-out success—proving why this event has become a cornerstone of Carnegie Hall’s programming.
The lineup was nothing short of extraordinary. Music legends and contemporary voices graced the stage, including the powerful Regina Belle, gospel royalty Pastor Shirley Caesar, Erica Campbell and her viral sensation daughter, Krista Campbell. The energy continued with stellar performances from gospel greats Brian Courtney Wilson, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Kierra Sheard-Kelly and featured presenting the inaugural Night of Inspiration Agape Award to The Winans as they celebrate the 36th anniversary of the Grammy award winning album, “The Winans Live At Carnegie Hall”. A special tribute to The Winans was presented by Isaac Carree, Melvin Crispell III, Juan Winans, Dave Hollister and Doug E. Fresh. Rounding out the stellar artist roster was international violinist Olen Cesari, multi talented Cory Henry, and R&B favorite Rahsaan Patterson.
The evening also showcased the philanthropic hearts of The Chews during their youth segment consisting of students from the Pine Forge Academy-Pine Forge PA as well as alumni from their own Power 2 Inspire Foundation. Voices soared as a 150-voice multicultural choir and a 64-piece orchestra—all conducted with precision and passion by Ray Chew—filled the iconic hall with a breathtaking blend of sound.

From tributes to Motown and Stevie Wonder to citywide events and outdoor performances, Ray and Vivian Chew’s work has consistently pushed boundaries, uniting diverse musical traditions and communities.
As the final chords rang out and the audience erupted in applause, “A Night of Inspiration” reaffirmed its status as an unforgettable celebration of music, faith, and legacy. Ray and Vivian Chew once again reminded us of the transformative power of music to uplift, inspire, and bring people together leaving everyone in attendance with full hearts and renewed spirits.
