Nashville, TN — Eboni Funderburk, Founder and CEO of EFG Promotions & Consulting, has secured her 40th No. 1 single at Gospel radio. The milestone comes with “Promises,” the latest release from Lisa Knowles-Smith & The Brown Singers, which reached No. 1 on both the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart and the Mediabase Gospel Radio Chart for two consecutive weeks.
The achievement marks the first traditional quartet recording to top both Gospel Airplay charts in the modern era — a rare feat that underscores the enduring power and contemporary relevance of quartet music.
A respected Gospel music industry veteran, Funderburk has played a central role in shaping radio success for some of the genre’s most influential artists. Her leadership continues to drive innovation while honoring the historical foundation of Gospel music, bridging heritage sounds with modern airplay strategy. Over nearly three decades, she has guided radio campaigns that have delivered dozens of No. 1 singles and multiple GRAMMY-nominated songs.

“Reaching this milestone is about more than numbers,” Funderburk said. “It’s about working with amazing artists and songs that speak to the language of our community — music that carries their stories, celebrates their faith, and connects across generations. When we honor tradition and pair it with excellence and innovation, Gospel music remains powerful and relevant.”
As Funderburk celebrates this personal milestone, EFG Promotions & Consulting remains committed to its mission of amplifying Gospel artists, preserving genre heritage, and guiding the next generation of creatives with integrity and strategic clarity.
